3 years ago today

Ryan and Vanessa, You are still missed.

I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When your face is before me
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

Surrounded by your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus,
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence,
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing Halelluja,
Will I be able to speak at all?

I can only imagine
I can only imagine
I can only imagine when that day comes
And I find myself standing in the Son
I can only imagine when all I will do
Is forever, forever worship you
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

Surrounded by your glory,
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus,
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence,
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing Halelluja,
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine
I can only imagine, yeah, yeah, yeah

Surrounded by your glory,
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus,
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence,
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing Halelluja,
Will I be able to speak at all?

I can only imagine, yeah
I can only imagine, yeah, yeah
I can only imagine,
Yeah I can only imagine
I can only imagine,
Ohh yeah I can only imagine
I can only imagine when all I will do is forever,
forever worship you I can only imagine

I can only speak about Ryan since I knew him as a hockey player and watched several of his games. Ryan that night we were at my grandparents at meadowview estates off of whiteford, The crash was heard we thought it happened in the neighborhood, but it was right in front of the quarry. I remember the funeral, I remember being one of many leaving comments on the funerals blog. It has been two years but it feels like its been a lot shorter than that. I know you rather be down here with all of your friends and be playing on the hockey team. Your parents along with the Pirrone's worked with the Stone CO and they got your memorial all decked out, Its not a site for pain but a site of remberance, There is always someone stopping at it, to admire, to pray or just to say some random thoughts. At first it was a bit leary as you know how busy sterns road is and it was hard to pull off and on safely but since the inception and the amount of people stopping a path has been made so you can park off the roadway and walk up the hill and for the person to do whatever its on their heart. Regardless Ryan you are in a much better place now, we are the ones that are suffering down here as this world that we do live in, if we are not careful we could also get hurt. So keep a place warm for your loved ones. I remember one comment that was left, your smile will never go away. Well it wont in those that keep your spirits close to their hearts. Take care brother!

Morgan after reading the words that you typed it would be hard for one to leave the screen without a tear in the eye. Its comforting to know they are still close to home, better yet close to the heart, even though they are not here beside us, they are within our hearts.

Everytime I hear/think of that song, it brings tingles down my spine. It's hard for us but they are in sweet paradise partying with Jesus. So really they are the lucky ones.

The song still makes me tear up and get a lump in my throat. Still. I think it always will. They are missed, yet they leave a legacy and they still positively affect lives. I am just thankful to have known them...and without Vanessa, I would not be who I am today. Seriously.

Music: Michael W. Smith
Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Chorus: And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "never"
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.

With the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you'll live in
Is the strength that now you show

But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Chorus
